URGENT !! URGENT !! URGENT !!
Due to the devastation left by Hurricane Matthew in our area the Bike MS route has changed.
MS will not be utilizing the Southern end of the course this year. Instead an abbreviated race will run 1 day further North.
Thank you to all who signed up and for everyone’s help in getting our area of responsibility staffed.
If you still wish to volunteer for this event please contact the following individuals for coordination.

Many ARES members are asking about Bike MS.
At this time the only thing I can tell you is we DO NOT have confirmation from MS staff as to whether the event will affect Flagler – Volusia County.
We have been in touch with MS staff almost immediately after Matthew and are awaiting final word on the event.
Please be patient as we are holding for MS to let us know what is going to take place.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
ICS 213 and 214 forms have been added to the member area. These are downloadable in Word and PDF format.
With Flagler County ARES at a Level 2 activation it is imperative that we track ALL hours and activities.
This will help us in resource tracking and provide information for After Action Reports…
WEEKLY ARES OPERATIONS POSTPONED.
Due to the threat of approaching Hurricane Matthew and a Level 2 activation for Flagler ARES all normal operations have been postponed.
The monthly meeting scheduled for this Wed Oct 5th has been cancelled.. We will reschedule at a later date.
Likewise the weekly net has been cancelled also. We will resume weekly net operations next week.
As we are at a Level 2 activation please take the time to review your preparedness plans.
This is also the time to make sure all deployment and base station equipment is fully operational.
Please monitor the Flagler ARES website for updates as well as the primary ARES repeater. 146.745 – 600 PL 123.
**Flagler County ARES Members**
Flagler County ARES will be going to a Level II Activation. Please consult your Communications Plan and ensure your equipment is ready for possible deployment.
Due to Hurricane Matthew, Flagler County Ares will go to Level III (monitoring phase). Please keep a close eye on this storm as its path is still uncertain.
Flagler County ARES is in need of several operators to help call the weekly nets.
The weekly net is a vital activity for ARES and helps to train operators to call nets for emergency situations and special events.
If you are interested in joining the NCS team please contact the net manager and we will get you on the weekly rotation.
Please email Eddie at firstname.lastname@example.org and a net script and roster will be forwarded to you.
If you have signed up for Bike MS this year please let us know what size T-Shirt you wear.
We will be coordinating with Bike MS staff to receive shirts and hand out as soon as possible.
Please forward shirt size by email to Eddie at email@example.com
